In an attempt to compensate for the riders which Team Sky has lost during this transfer season the team has signed Vasil Kiryienka on a three-year contract. Kiryienka joins Team Sky from Team Movistar.

Earlier today Team Sky announced that Mark Cavendish (Great Britain) is leaving the team at the end of this season. This was followed by an announcement from Team Omega Pharma-Quick-Step which revealed that the team has signed Cavendish.

Team Saxo Bank - Tinkoff Bank has announced that Benjamin Noval, Jesus Hernandez and Rafal Majka have extended their contracts with the team.
