Denmark's Lars Bak - Team Lotto-Belisol's strong and tireless man for long breakaways - is returning to training on the roads after the crash in GP La Marseillaise two weeks ago in which he fractured one of his scaphoid bones.

Alessandro Ballan no longer in intensive care

Earlier today it was reported that Team BMC Racing's Alessandro Ballan was released from intensive care in the hospital in Spain today. Ballan, however, remains hospitalized as he recovers from injuries suffered in a high speed crash during training last week.
