Horner Climbs to Victory in Stage 10 of Vuelta; Reclaims Red Jersey
Chris Horner (RadioShack-Leopard) became the oldest man to win a Grand Tour stage or lead a Grand Tour by winning Stage 3 of this year’s Vuelta a Espana. Today, the American veteran repeated the feat. Horner surged away from the red jersey group in the last five km to win the mountainous, 186.8-km ride from Torredelcampo to Guejar Sierra in 4:30:22. Vincenzo Nibali (Astana) took second at 0:48, and Alejandro Valverde (Movistar) outsprinted Ivan Basso (Cannondale) for third at 1:02.
