Clearly dismayed by repeated questions about doping, the team of Tour de France leader Chris Froome earlier today volunteered to open up to independent scrutiny all of its training secrets to try to prove "beyond reasonable doubt" that the Briton and his teammates are riding clean.

Froome Climbs to Victory in Stage 15 of Tour de France

Chris Froome (Sky) has won on Mont Ventoux. The Sky man surged away from Nairo Quintana (Movistar) with 1.2 km left to win Stage 15, a 242-km ride from Givors to Mont Ventoux, in 5:48:45. Quintana finished second at 0:29, and Mikel Nieve (Euskaltel-Euskadi) finished third at 1:29. Froome has extended his overall lead in the Tour de France.

Froome Wins Stage 8 of Tour de France, Takes Yellow Jersey

Sky has blown open the Tour de France 2013. Two of its riders, Chris Froome and Richie Porte, have taken the first two positions in Stage 8, the first high mountain stage of this year’s Tour. Froome won the 195-km ride from Castres to Ax 3 Domaines in 5:03:18. Porte finished second at 0:51, and Alejandro Valverde (Movistar) finished third at 1:08. Froome is the new maillot jaune.

Bus sandwiches, disrespect for a former Tour champion, and funny glasses were all on the menu. Tour de France viewers and spectators yesterday experienced what may have been the most unprofessional and disorganized start of a Tour de France in its entire history.
