Boasson Hagen Wins Stage 3 of Dauphine Libere

Edvald Boasson Hagen (Team Sky) has won Stage 3 of the Criterium du Dauphine Libere 2013. The Norwegian took a bunch sprint to win the rolling, 167-km ride from Amberieu-en-Bugey to Tarare in 4:03:32. Michael Matthews (GreenEdge) pipped Gianni Meersman (Omega Pharma-Quick Step) for second. David Veilleux (Europcar) remains the overall leader.

Viviani Sprints to Victory in Stage 2 of Dauphine Libere 2013

Elia Viviani (Cannondale) has won Stage 2 of the Dauphine Libere. The Italian, who finished second to Mark Cavendish (Omega Pharma-Quick Step) in two stages of the Giro d'Italia, took a bunch sprint to win the hilly, 191-km ride from Chatel to Oyannax in 4:39:15.

Veilleux Takes Stage 1 of Dauphine Libere 2013

David Veilleux (Europcar) has won Stage 1 of the Dauphine Libere. The Canadian animated a daylong break and then surged away from it to win the hilly, 121-km ride in and around Champery, Switzerland in 3:17:35. Gianni Meersman (Omega Pharma-Quick Step) took second at 1:56, and Tom Slagter (Blanco) finished third 0:01 later.
