Those with a taste for speed will be aware that the Intense Spider 29 Comp Mountain Bike Frame is named for a certain Italian supercar, rather than creepy crawlers. And with the beautiful lines and snappy handling, we'd have to say that the name seems appropriate. Boasting either 4. 5 or 5 inches of VPP travel, and the impeccable handling you'd expect from an Intense, the Spider just begs to be ridden hard. And with a frame weight of 5. 5 pounds, you can dress it light for XC race duty, or opt for a burlier build kit and hammer your favorite trails. Roomy top tube lengths combine with the steeper seat angle, allowing for a relaxed riding position with today's shorter stem lengths. A 13. 2-inch bottom bracket height is amply low for railing turns, even when traction is hard to come by. And the 17. 5-inch chainstays offer stability and grip, while maintaining the neutral weight distribution that's crucial for getting through corners quickly. It all adds up to a bike that's highly capa...
