Specialized PVO pump

Specialized PVO pump Specialized has made a new pump available on the market. Some might falsely be led into believing that any pump is a good pump, when infact many design factors can influence on how well a pump will perform. Specialized has realized this, and by introducing the PVO road pump, they have made a quality pump available to cyclists.

The lightweight, slim design was the initial appealing factor of this pump. The simplistic rubber plug for the presta only valve stems makes it so easy to use. The pump even comes with a couple of glueless patches and sandpaper located inside the pump. One of our reviewers had trouble locating the patches and sandpaper that comes with the pump...

"I couldn't find the "secret" compartment in the pump handle. I assumed that's where they were, but I was prying on a ring that I thought was the seam to the compartment lid. It turns out, using a couple fingernails just a bit higher popped off the cap. I couldn't even resort to reading the instructions to help find it, as there were none!".

The pump comes with a mount, making mounting the pump on the bike possible...

"The pump mount was a plain, yet effective feature of the PVO. Take off your water bottle cage, use the supplied blots from the pump and screw the cage back on over the top of the pump holder. After you snap the pump in, there is a nifty locking tab to secure it. Make sure it will clear your crank arms by mounting it on the non-drive side."

Our reviewers liked the slim design and nifty little features. The weight of this pump is ideal to carry on the bike. It also appears to have some durability.

"Using it was straightforward. It seemed to fill the tube to a significant 100 psi without wearing myself out. There I was, aired up and ready to go. It stayed in place during rides and didn't interfere with any pedal strokes."

The slim pump design makes pumping your bike even easier as you won't have trouble finding room for your fingers between the spokes and the pump.

A reviewer found the pump to stick too tight to the vent.

"After use it was hard to remove and sort of sticks to the vent."

This might make using the pump difficult for less strong people.

This pump is good and very handy; let's just hope there won't be a need for it!
