Zefal Anti-Theft Skewers Review

By Dave Osborne
Apr 16, 2009 - 6:49:34 AM

We review the Zefal antitheft skewers.

Zefal Anti-Theft Skewers system.

No need to lock n’ load with the Zefal Lock N’Roll Skewers.

Forget about carrying keys or remembering a combination for a lock. The locking mechanism of the Lock N” Roll skewers is within the handle. The set contains skewers for both wheels and your saddle.

In the locked position, I pulled with all my might and was unable to open the skewers. Flip the position of your bike and it unlocks with ease. You could probably become more creative and position all three skewers on a different plane so the bike would have to be turned a separate way for each skewer for each one to be unlocked. If you saw someone spending five minutes at a bike turning it inside out and upside down, they would probably be up to something!

Thanks to Zefal for coming up with a simple and effective solution in an antitheft device. Obviously, this doesn’t take the place of securing your bike to a solid fixture if it is left outside. It certainly is a preventative measure to coming outside and finding only your frame chained to a light pole.

The skewers are strong and stylish. Be more secure with the Zefal Lock N’Roll Skewer Set.
