Teko Bicycling Socks Review

Roadcycling.com reviews Teko bicycling socks.

Teko tekopoly men's minicrew bicycling socks.

It sounds like something your mother might say when Teko states they not only make the best socks on the planet but they make the best socks for the planet.  This is because teko uses recycled materials and believes they make a quality product without leaving a heavy impact on the environment.

I can assure you there won’t be any shards of glass, bits of plastic bottles, or pieces of old rubber tires in your socks!  What you will find is an extremely comfortable, well-fitting sock that is durable.  After a month of use, the socks have maintained their elasticity and moisture wicking properties.

I was particularly impressed with Teko’s ability to keep my feet dry and cool. They have integrated air vents. The seams are flat and smooth, which adds to the comfort by eliminating any potential hot spots within the shoe. The form fitting construction kept the socks in place.

It is one thing to use these socks for cycling when there’s very little movement within the shoe, but another to use it in a more challenging activity.  I wore Teko socks while cycling and playing racquetball (not at the same time).  I liked the ribbed instep portion which provided a bit of a cushion between the tongue of my cycling shoe. During racquetball, I expected the sock to bunch and twist on my foot but it did not.  It held its place and I was again impressed with its ability to keep my feet cool and dry.

A huge pet peeve of mine has to do with sock sizes or lack of them. I hate buying socks that fit size “4-14”. What a joke that is! Teko has men’s and women’s sizes ranging from small to extra large. This is another example of Teko’s attention to detail.

Everything about teko and their products is impressive.  It’s hard to believe they have achieved comfort and performance using recycled materials.  Their environmental concerns are to be commended.  Just like Roadcycling.com is hosted at CO2-neutral hosting facilities and we are continuously supporting charity organizations, Teko utilizes wind power at their factory and donates 10% of their retail sales to conservation organizations.  With Teko, you get a two for one bonus in that you receive a quality product for your money while supporting a company that is environmentally conscious. Everybody wins with Teko.
