When the 2010 Paris-Roubaix classic takes place tomorrow, the BMC Racing Team will be starting the legendary race on the new BMC SLR01 Teammachines.

It is not by chance that George Hincapie, Marcus Burghardt and their teammates rely on the properties and qualities of the SLR01 to tackle the 27 cobblestone sections of the Paris-Roubaix 2010. Thanks to the Tuned Compliance Concept (TCC) the teammachine is the perfect weapon for the BMC Racing Teams to challenge the Hell of the North.

BMC presented the new BMC teammachine SLR01 back in September 2009 at the Eurobike tradeshow in Friedrichshafen, Germany. After last weekend's Tour of Flanders, tomorrow it will be time for what a BMC spokesman called the "second baptism of fire of the BMC SLR01 teammachine in the legendary classic Paris-Roubaix."

It is no wonder that the BMC Racing Team relies on BMC's state of the art technology in the world's most difficult classic. According to BMC the Teammachine SLR01 is perfectly built for this kind of rough terrain with countless cobblestone sections.

"Despite the very good stiffness, the teammachine is a very comfortable bike. The bike felt absolute fantastic during the Tour of Flanders and was easy driving in the cobblestone sections. That's exactly what I expect for Paris-Roubaix", United States National Champion George Hincapie commented.

Applying stepped profiles, specific carbon fibre alignments and different material compositions in key areas of our frames, forks and seat posts enables us to increase desirable vertical compliance while maintaining high levels of lateral and torsional stiffness. Hincapie is looking forward to riding the new bike in the 2010 Paris-Roubaix tomorrow. "Although changing the bike midway through the (Classics) season is not ideal, I had no problems getting accustomed to the new teammachine. I felt comfortable immediately."

According to Team BMC Racing Sports Director John Lelangue the team will focus its powers on supporting American George Hincapie and German Marcus Burghardt in the 108th edition of Paris-Roubaix.

"We have a strong team, with two leaders who are in good condition," Lelangue commented and added "Marcus and George are feeling good and have had good training during the week. They have a good team around them to go for a good result." This will be Hincapie's 17th participation in the 259 km "Queen of the Classics."

The three-time U.S. national road champion has finished in the top 10 seven times, with his best result being runner-up in 2005.
