Limar ultralight pro 104 helmet test and review.

Roadcycling.com reviews the Limar ultralight pro 104 helmet.

The Limar Ultralight Pro 104 Carbon is tabbed as the world's lightest helmet. At 215 grams, it is noticeably lighter than other helmets. Limar added a crossmember in the forehead area of the helmet to meet US specifications. Thus, the weight of the US and European versions are different.

Once I had the Pro 104 out of the box I noticed it offered as much coverage and padding on my head as my other helmets (even with its reduced weight). For me, it fit perfectly the first time. The chin straps have enough length so it will fit different head sizes. Adjusting the straps and padding was the easiest I had ever done, taking me only 2 minutes to get the proper fit.  The buckle had easy to grasp plastic clips. Limar's bidirectional sizing system in the back of the helmet (a little round disk) was easy to find and move to fine tune the perfect fit.

Once on the bike, I could tell the Pro 104 had as much if not more air flow than other helmets I have worn. My head felt cool as I cruised down the road on a warm day. The beads of sweat I normally have to wipe from my brow weren't there and the bugs that normally hit my head weren't either. The large openings in the helmet allowed the air flow to move the sweat over my head not down into my eyes and the carbon mesh kept the bugs out. Nice touch Limar! When the ride was over all I had to do was loosen the bidirectional sizing and unclasp the clips to remove the helmet.

The Limar Carbon Ultralight Pro 104 bicycle helmet lived up it billing. It is the lightest I've worn and meets U.S. CPSC safety standards. I liked the style and the way it looked on my head. Most helmets protrude from the sides of the rider's head. The Pro 104 is streamlined yet still offers the same amount of protection. The amount of air flow was refreshing. The carbon mesh is a great feature to keep the bugs out. I don't know of any helmet with this thoughtful design. These are the little things that make your biking more enjoyable matter!

The Limar Carbon Ultralight Pro 104 bike helmet offers everything a rider needs in a helmet. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a helmet who wants exceptional air flow, lightweight, and offers excellent head protection. You will also be in style.
