Roadcycling.com talked with Rick “the roadie” Adams from Ellsworth Handcrafted Bicycles who introduced us to the new Ellsworth Coercion carbon road bike. This reporter has learned about the importance of quality to Ellsworth cycles in addition to the company’s environmental concerns.

Rick stated that Ellsworth does not want to produce a carbon product that negatively impacts the environment. The company, therefore, uses certified, “rare earth” carbon. Ellsworth specifies the exact type of carbon they want to use in the manufacturing process.

The geometry and style is more Italian. It is a lively bike without the “dead” carbon feel of others. Rick said it descends extremely well due to its geometry. It has a characteristic Ellsworth long top tube. The wheels where designed in house by Tony at Ellsworth. They are a mid aero profile.

Knowing the staff at Ellsworth is knowing their commitment to their product and quality. Look for the new Coercion this spring for a spirited and eco friendly carbon ride and stay tuned to Roadcycling.com for a review of the bike. And by the way, did you know that Roadcycling.com is produced and hosted on carbon neutral facilities - we too care about the environment.
