The Week That Was...

Ian comments on the happenings in the world of cycling.

time round, people made claims that I had an advantage because of the bike and the way I was cycling.   The bike will be a complete boring, bog-standard bike and it will all be about my performance as an athlete.?

Lastly, this week, US cycling received a major boost as more details emerged about a new TV friendly Criterium series, bringing together under one name, a host of the country?s top Criterium races.   The series is due to be aired on the Fox Sports network making it available to over 75 million viewers.   It?s hoped the series will help to both promote the sport and the country?s top riders to the general public who might not yet have been introduced to the sport.   Further details are available on http://www.worldcyclingseries.com/ ....... World Cycling Series?   Nothing like blowing your own trumpet!   It?s great for the sport in the
US
but surely, wouldn?t the ?US Cycling Series? have been a little more apt?   I can see trading standards having a field day with this one!!!

Till next week, keep it rubber side down and your thoughts, views and opinions coming in to me at ian@roadcycling.com.
