Tour de France: Stage 17

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening…wherever you are, whatever time it is.

There was a stage race today but nothing happened, Yawn! I think all but 10 racers thought it was a parade stage. I was trying to stay awake but even Phil didn’t raise the pitch in his voice.

Hello Dave, WAKE UP! Knaven broke from the others with 15 km to go and I was awakened by the voice from above. No, not God, it was Phil saying Knaven was off on a flyer! Hey, we DO have a race going on. The others countered and countered but couldn’t summon the speed from their legs. Knaven wins the stage 0.17 in front of Bossoni with the chase crossing at 1:55. Lüttenberger was the only significant one in the group who gained time on the big boys who were still parading down the road. They made it in at 8:06.

Well, Yawn, I’m off to the roadside café for a spot of chai tea. Anyone else wish Saturday was here?
