Thor Hushovd Extends Contract with Cervelo TestTeam

Shortly before the start of the Tour de France 2009 Cervelo TestTeam rider Thor Hushovd has signed a new contract with the team and thereby extended his contract till the end of 2011.

The six-time Tour de France stage winner has four victories this season in the Cervélo TestTeam jersey and expressed his confidence in the Team at today’s signing.

“I have a really good feeling with this team. They provide us with a professional surrounding allows us to concentrate on our sport and our personal performance,” said Thor Hushovd. “The philosophy, the ambitions and the morale of the team is how I like it and want it to be. I always get great support from my team mates so my decision to extend the contract was an easy one.”

“I’m very pleased with Thor’s decision to go further with us and continue his work with the Team,” said Thomas Campana, Managing Director of the Cervélo TestTeam. “He has helped us with our equipment goals and collaborated on with our bike components partners on product development. He is a great rider, an experienced athlete, as well as a very likeable person.”
