Team Quick Step Selects Eight Riders for Tour de France 2009

By
Jun 29, 2009 - 12:07:44 PM

Team Quick Step today announced its selection of its first eight riders for the Tour de France 2009.

The 9th rider of the team will be known tomorrow after the decision of the court. If Tom Boonen can’t take the start of the race he will be replaced by Allan Davis. If Tom Boonen is allowed to start in the 2009 Tour de France we believe that there is something rotten and something completely wrong going on in cycling. Major stars and idols such as Tom Boonen should know better.

Riders: Carlos Barredo (Esp), Sylvain Chavanel (Fra), Steven De Jongh (Hol), Stijn Devolder (Bel), Jerome Pineau (Fra), Sebastien Rosseler (Bel), Matteo Tosatto (Ita), Jurgen Van De Walle (Bel).

Sports Directors will be Wilfried Peeters and Rik Van Slycke.
