Team Milram Presentation

German cyclist Gerald Ciolek has broken his collarbone after crashing in the bunch sprint finish of stage three of the Tour of Qatar.

The 23-year-old Team Milram rider fell at the end of Tuesday's 136-kilometer (84.3-mile) stage from Dukhan to Mesaieed, won by former world champion Tom Boonen of Belgium.

Team Milram sporting director Ralf Grabsh said Ciolek will be flown back to Germany where doctors will determine "whether surgery is necessary."

Although he did not win a stage at last year's Tour de France, Ciolek placed third on the 19th and fourth on the final stage to Paris Champs Elysees.
