Former Tour de France champion Oscar Pereiro has agreed to a one-year deal to ride for Astana in 2010.

The Spanish cyclist will join the Kazahk team's training camp in Pisa, Italy, on Thursday, where he will be united with defending Tour champion Alberto Contador.

Pereiro, who won the 2006 Tour after Floyd Landis was stripped of the title due to a positive doping test, says he's in good shape following a 1 1/2 years of injuries.

The 32-year-old former Caisse D'Epargne rider believes the change of team will help him get back to form to help Contador defend his own Tour title next July.
